Peugeot’s only crossover, the 3008, was launched on 30 July 2010 at the auspicious time of 7.18pm, in a star-studded event held at One on the Bund – a specially chosen venue where guests could embrace the Peugeot lion through the Leo constellation that is situated just above.
More than 400 distinguished guests witnessed the unveiling of the newest addition to the Peugeot family – the Peugeot 3008 – that night and in line with the theme of Living It Now, it was a night filled with activities that allowed guests to do what they have always wanted to without procrastination.
From discovering themselves through perfumery to donating to charity, the guests were engaged the moment they stepped foot onto the one-night-only Peugeot Art Gallery.
But perhaps the most interesting reflection for the guests that night was the creation of a new constellation. Each guest were given a bulb to light and the final product formed the new Leo, a symbol that depicts Peugeot’s corporate Lion badge which boasts of a refreshed posture, fluidity and dynamism. Accompanying this mighty sign is the unique combination of emotion and the pursuit of perfection in its new signature – Peugeot Motion and Emotion.
This refreshing alliance marks Peugeot’s aim to ensure that emotion is always at the heart of the motoring experience and that it will certainly propel Peugeot to further rise the ranks. This change also signifies the commitment of Peugeot ushering in a new era, which will result in a remarkable 14 new models being launched globally from now till 2010, the first of which is the Peugeot 3008.
Needless to say, the starlet that night gathered only positive feedback.
“This launch is great! It certainly suits the Peugeot image of style and emotion. I can’t wait to test drive this new creation already! It seems to be a car that suits my every need, said David Tan, 43, who was delighted to be one of the first to see the real car.
Singing the same tune was 37-year old Osteopath Martin John, winner of The 3008 Photo Challenge whose creation won him two tickets to Bali. “When thinking of my ideas on the competition I thought, ‘What does Peugeot mean to me?’, Peugeot, being a classic brand has one major advantage over the others – a sense of flair and adventure!
‘I felt this allowed me to be cheeky and fun yet retaining the respect and class such an amazing new car deserves!
‘I am really happy to be on my way to Bali but honestly I would have much preferred to have won the car. Still I can’t wait for the weekend when it’s all mine!, he exclaimed.
Touted as the new benchmark in the world of spacious, compact vehicles for its driving pleasure and active safety, the Peugeot 3008 is the perfect solution for drivers who are still sitting on the fence.
